Don't get this confused with Domestic Dog.
Dog is just a generalizing term.
Dog is just a generalizing term.
Like ThunderCats.
If you want to take things too literally then you can complain that Tigers and Lions and Cheetahs are not cats because cats=domestic cats.
But the word cat is being used as a generalizing term to blanket the group.
Even professionals use the word. Watch NationalGeographic or AnimalPlanet. They call tigers and lions and cheetahs Big-Cats.

So yeah. Don't get your panties in a bunch over "BAAW WOLVES AND COYOTES AND FOXES ARE NOT DOGSS!11111"
Calm down.
Dog is a generalizing term to blanket the Canidae family. Nobody goes around saying Canidae. Most people don't even know that's a word. They just say dog.

So yes, DinoDogs include foxes (like the fennec) wolves, coyotes jackals etc.
Somebody is having an extremely hard time grasping this simple concept but I thought I'd make a journal so everybody else will understand. Dunno about that one person, they're a lost cause at this point but oh well :U
TL;DR
The 'Dog' in DinoDog is not to be taken literally. The 'Dog' in DinoDog is a blanket term for everybody in the Canidae family. This is in no way saying that Foxes and Wolves and such are the same thing and this is in no way saying that they're domestic dogs.
